Please complete the following processes to assist us in reducing safety risks, especially in the event of emergencies.

  1. Visitor Information Registration. Kindly complete the visitor registration form for your visit to C4 Zone today. Please click here.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the appointed incident commanders in C5 Zone. If you are the first to detect emergency incidents such as fires or accidents in C5 Zone, please report to the incident commander in C5 Zone, Ts. Sofi Yahya (012-5366039) from Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Technology (FKTE). If you wish to know the emergency response team management committee appointed in C5 Zone, you can click here.
  3. In case you are unable to contact both incident commanders and the assistant incident officer in C4 Zone, you can also contact the manager of the Safety, Environment, and Occupational Health Committee (JPKPKP), FKTM, Ts. Dr. Tan Wee Choon (012-5515918). If you wish to know the appointed Safety, Environment, and Occupational Health Committee (JPKPKP) in FKTM, you can click here.
  4. When inside a building, always be aware of the nearest exit doors and emergency routes to your room or laboratory.
  5. Understand the rules if you are visiting a laboratory, workshop, or hazardous area. Please wear personal protective equipment (PPE) if required by the involved parties.
  6. If you hear the emergency alarm bell or are instructed to evacuate the building, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY leave your workplace or wherever you are to EXIT THE BUILDING. The following are the building evacuation procedures in C5 Zone:-
  1. Stop working.
  2. Stop all machines (if involved in machine operations).
  3. Close gas valves and electrical equipment (if involved).
  4. Close all doors.
  5. Exit through safe and nearest routes.
  6. DO NOT use elevators.
  7. DO NOT run or push each other.
  8. DO NOT intentionally create noise.
  9. DO NOT panic.
  10. DO NOT re-enter the building.
  11. Cooperate and follow the instructions of incident officers.
  12. Gather at the designated assembly point.

The assembly point locations in the event of emergency incidents in FKTM B at C5 Zone, Pauh Putra Campus, UniMAP, are the parking areas near specific workshops/laboratories. Please refer to the C5 Zone maps below for the assembly point locations (indicated by red dots).
Assembly Point 1 in Zone C5 (specifically for FKTM B1 - Mechanical Workshop 1, FKTM B2 - Mechanical Workshop 2, FKTM B3 - Automotive Workshop, and FKTM B4 - Thermodynamics Laboratory & Energy & Turbo Machinery Laboratory). Assembly Point 2 in Zone C5 (specifically for FKTM B5 - Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, FKTM B6 - Solid Mechanics & Vibration Laboratory, FKTM B7 - Mechanical Design Laboratory 1, and FKTM B8 - Mechanical Design Laboratory 2).
